The Bainbridge Island Friends of the Library gratefully accepts donations of books, magazines, computer software, computer games, and audio-visual materials.  These materials are sorted and sold to provide funds to benefit our library.

 

Please Donate:  Books (children's & adults), magazines, music CD's, VHS tapes, DVD's, audio books (tape as well as CD), computer software, and computer games that are in good condition.  If you have a special book that you believe is unique and valuable, please attach a note or make one of the Friends or a library staff person aware of this.  We prefer to receive donations in cardboard boxes or paper bags (not plastic bags).

 

However:  We have found we cannot sell encyclopedia sets, audio cassette music tapes, or vinyl records, so please do not donate these to us.  Also please do not donate damaged, moldy, water wrinkled, books and magazines.

 

Location:  Donations can be dropped off at the Library at any time during open hours.  Donations are most easily dropped off downstairs, just inside the door of the Friends' Bookroom.  However, if the donations are not large and heavy, they can also be dropped off upstairs at the main desk.

 

Receipts:  Donations to the Bainbridge Friends of the Library are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.  If you would like a receipt for your donated books or materials, please ask for one.

 

Cash Donations:  Cash donations are of course gratefully accepted as well.  Checks should be made out to "FOL" or "Friends of the Library".  If you would prefer to make an online donation with a credit card, then click on the donate button below.
